Jeff Carpenter joined SimonCRE in 2015 with a strong background in retail development, leasing, and finance. He specializes in single tenant build-to-suits, land assemblages, as well as shopping center and note acquisitions. He brings a unique transaction history having worked with many national retailers on projects all over the country. Prior to joining SimonCRE, Jeff spent six years at Sandor Development, leading its private equity arm, Sand Capital, in the sourcing, underwriting, and acquisition of non-performing notes and lender-owned commercial real estate. He was instrumental in Sand Capital's success, building the investment team from the ground up and overseeing more than $200,000,000 in acquisitions through the investment of more than 60 assets totaling nearly 3,000,000 square feet in 15 states. He was also intimately involved in the asset management of the portfolio, where he designed and executed plans that added value to the acquired investments through leasing and redevelopment projects. He successfully negotiated leases on more than 200,000 square feet with many local, regional, and national tenants throughout the country. Jeff was in a unique situation to be able to personally guide each of these investments through underwriting, acquisition, lease up, and in many cases, disposition and reinvestment. Jeff began his career in commercial real estate at Phoenix Commercial Advisors, a commercial real estate brokerage and member of ChainLinks Retail Advisors.
