Full Bio: Arthur Sheridan, founder and President of Arthur Sheridan & Associates, Ltd. has been engaged in the profession of real estate appraisal, brokerage, development and consulting since 1947. He has practiced in the Greater Chicago Area, including Cook, DuPage, DeKalb, Will, Lake, McHenry, Kane, Kendall, Grundy, Kankakee, Shelby and Marion Counties, as well as other parts of the United States. He has been licensed by the State of Illinois as a Real Estate Broker since 1953. He holds the professional appraisal designation of “IFAS “ Senior Member in the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers. Mr. Sheridan serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Northern Illinois Commercial Association of Realtors (NICAR). Mr. Sheridan has completed many hours of appraisal education as required by the State of Illinois, Realtors education courses and participates in continuing education yearly. He is a member of many professional real estate and appraisal organizations. He has also taught a course on the role of the appraiser in condemnation for the International Right of Way Association and the National Association of Fee Appraisers. His property valuations include nursing homes, motels, apartment buildings, shopping centers, offices, post offices and communication tower facilities, as well as highway, aviation, utility, pipeline, railroad rights of way, together with a variety of eminent domain assignments. Litigation Support Mr. Sheridan has qualified as an expert witness and has testified at the request of governmental agencies, individual property owners, developers, Trustees and attorneys. He has appraised properties in Cook, DuPage, Lake, McHenry, Ogle, Kane, Kendall, Will, Grundy, Winnebago, Boone, Kankakee, Marion, Montgomery, Christian, St. Clair Shelby and Macon Counties. He has testified in the Circuit Courts of Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, Kendall, Grundy, Will, Kankakee, Shelby and Marion Counties, also in the United States Federal Court. His testimony has covered land use, zoning matters, condemnation matters and real estate valuation. He has also appeared before various municipal zoning committees and boards.
