Joey Gilkerson serves as an Advisor for Sperry Van Ness – Miller Commercial Real Estate, specializing in the sale of multifamily land and developments, as well as the sale and lease of medical and office space in Maryland. Joey previously served as an intern with SVN – Miller, specializing in the sale and lease of many current developments in the Salisbury area and assisted Senior Advisor, Bradley Gillis, CCIM. Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness – Miller, Gilkerson co-founded the real estate holdings company, Gilkerson Properties, LLC. He has also served as a Realtor with Martin and Moore Realty in Salisbury, MD specializing in the acquisition of residential investment real estate. Joey earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Salisbury University’s Perdue School of Business in 2011. Prior to graduating he completed over 30 transactions during his internship and Associate Advisor roles at SVN – Miller. He is also a candidate for CCIM, a designation given to recognized experts in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. The knowledge gained in the classrooms at both Salisbury University and during his upcoming CCIM training, as well as the practical application gained working side by side with Gillis, make Gilkerson an asset to Sperry Van Ness – Miller. He also serves as a co-chair of the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals, as well as serving on the Board for Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore. Joey’s career highlight thus far is assisting in representing local developers in the purchase ($3 Million), redevelopment, and future leasing of 200,000 Sq Ft Achievement Park.
