Full ProfileJohn is Retail Services Director and manages the retail services platform in the Charleston office of Lee & Associates. He has successfully completed over 5 million square feet of shopping center and triple-net lease retail acquisition, disposition, build-to-suit development and construction transactions. He specializes in retail brokerage throughout the coastal South Carolina markets, while serving clients throughout North America. He primarily focuses on third-party, investment-grade retail real estate agency brokerage and leasing, tenant representation and development services. He also provides special asset management and disposition for the courts and financial institutions, as well as individual developers and investors. He enjoys working with retail due to the unique opportunity to create leverage and value for clients based on the confluence of the geospatial characteristics and the retailer’s unique brand identity. He feels proud and inspired to transact a space that truly integrates the property owner strategy and retailer experience within the fabric of the community.During his real estate career, spanning over three decades, he has managed all aspects and processes of the development cycle, including site selection, contract and lease negotiation, due diligence, entitlement, design, financing, construction, property and asset management and dispositions.
