David Schnitzer, CCIM, LEED AP+ is a licensed broker and Realtor with ASCEND Commercial Real Estate based in Dallas, Texas. Schnitzer specializes in retail representation, land and investment sales in Texas and Oklahoma. Prior to starting ASCEND, Schnitzer was Senior Vice President with Venture Commercial and before that was vice president with Weitzman. Prior to commercial real estate, he had a career in national marketing and advertising representing national and statewide accounts. Schnitzer currently handles retail tenant representation for clients including G6 Hospitality/Motel 6, Primrose Schools, BluePearl Veterinary Centers, Ethan Allen, WoodSpring Suites Hotels, Confie Insurance Group/Freeway Insurance, Bestway Rentals, Banfield Pet Hospitals, Habitat for Humanity and Famous Famiglia Pizzeria concepts as well as other national and regional retailers. Schnitzer is a member of the North Texas CCIM chapter - even before becoming a candidate. He was the 2012 and 2013 North Texas Chapter President and has served as President of CCIM Technologies, Regional Vice President and on various CCIM national committees and task forces. He served as Presidential Liaison for Technology in 2017 and 2018, past Chair of the Member Services committee, faculity subcommittee and HR workgroup, and is a member of the CCIM Institute Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He was named a Power Broker by D CEO Magazine, a "Heavy Hitter" by the Dallas Business Journal, is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors where is serves on their Board of Directors.
