I am the County Manager for JLL in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean as well as the Director of Retail in Puerto Rico, Caribbean and Latin America. I provide advisory service and market planning services to retailers in managing their real estate through the US mainland, Puerto Rico, Caribbean and Latin America. In addition, Andy over sees the retail team providing landlord and tenant services in the market. As of January 2018, moved full time to Puerto Rico and became the Country Manager for Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Region. In this capacity as Country Manager, I am responsible for client relations and the integration of all JLL business lines to provide comprehensive real estate solutions across all commercial real estate sectors. Experience I have over 32 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry including positions in Property Management, Development/Construction, Mall Management, Asset Management, Landlord Leasing and Tenant Representation. Since beginning his career in 1986, I have completed transactions in excess of 6,000,000 square feet with various retailers including anchors, Jr. boxes, small shop and lifestyle tenants. My employment spans national, regional and local companies such as Forest City Enterprises, Jim Morris and Associates, Inc. the Sembler Company of St Petersburg, Florida and JLL, Florida and Puerto Rico. During my tenure at the Sembler Company, I leased over 3,000,000 square feet of power, strip, mixed use and lifestyle shopping centers in Florida and Puerto Rico. In 2013, I formed THE Retail Advisors and represented several top retail clients as well as providing consulting services to Landlords in Florida and Puerto Rico. Andy joined JLL in 2015 and covered the Florida and Puerto Rico markets. Education and Affiliations International Council of Shopping Centers’ School of Professional Development and has earning the International Council of Shopping Centers’ Certified Retail Property Executive, Certified Shopping Center Manager and Certified Leasing Specialist designations. He has served as the Chairman for ICSC events and is the Chairman of the Latin America Recon for 2017. I have served as an advisory for the ICSC Next Generation Program and currently serve on the ICSC Certified Retail Executive test review and certification board. I have spoken and participated at several ICSC sponsored events and am the ICSC Ambassador for the Caribbean. Real Estate Broker’s Licenses in Florida and the broker of record for JLL in Puerto Rico.
