Biography Richard Gold has been working in commercial real estate for more than 20 years. He started his career in New York City as the General Manager of a chain of upscale health clubs, where responsibilities included planning capital projects and negotiating new acquisitions and leases. After moving to Connecticut, Richard worked as the Property Manager for a local YMCA while taking classes for his real estate license. In 2002, he began work with a New Haven based Commercial Real Estate firm. During this period, he specialized in the sale and leasing of industrial and office properties. As well, he worked with the Connecticut Housing Finance Authority as agent for the sale of six multi-family properties, including a 265 unit affordable housing project in Stamford, CT., a $40MM transaction. Richard presently lives in Coventry CT and works part time managing subsidized housing projects in the Northeast corner of the State. He has 4 daughters, which he says, has been much easier than the Commercial Real Estate business.
