James (Jamie) D. McCutchen, Jr. P.E. Jamie has extensive experience in: Land development Commercial development Due diligence issues Zoning issues Environmental issues Representing clients at public hearings and presentations Negotiating with public agencies and officials PROFESSIONAL CAREER Jamie has 20 years experience in civil engineering, including 13 years as the founder and principal of CCAD Engineering. He has become known as a problem solver and creative thinker to find cost effective solutions to often complex site issues. Jamie has worked in commercial real estate since 1994, primarily as a site engineer. He has also been a partner in numerous development projects; including grocery anchored shopping centers and “strip center” developments, as well as multi-family and single-family residential developments. EDUCATION Jamie graduated from Clemson University in 1992 with a BS degree in Civil Engineering. He is a licensed engineer in South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. Jamie has also completed the Civil Court Mediation Training Program by the South Carolina Bar. PERSONAL Jamie is originally from Kingstree, located in the low country of South Carolina. He has lived in the Greenville area since 1994 and is actively involved in the community. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Homes of Hope, a local non-profit providing affordable housing and a mentoring program for men overcoming drug and alcohol addictions. He is married and has a son and a daughter. His personal interests include golf, Clemson athletics and other outdoor activities..
