Edward J. Zorn has over 20 years of experience in real estate as an attorney, mediator, investor and broker. As an active investor, Ed has owned and managed office, retail, multi-family and industrial properties. His personal investing experiences have enhanced his skills in communicating and understanding the needs, and concerns of his brokerage and legal clients.
After spending 10 years as a real estate litigation attorney, Ed started a commercial brokerage and a legal firm in 2003. He developed a passion for consulting and advising clients in both the commercial and residential real estate markets. In 2006 Ed completed the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, one of the most prestigious commercial certifications in the real estate community. He has represented buyers, sellers, investors, landlords and tenants in sale and lease transactions involving office, retail, multi-family and industrial properties. He is also a member of the California Receivers Forum, and has helped owners with their troubled assets. Combining legal, real estate, and business expertise in one integrated package sets Ed apart in the commercial real estate field.
Ed has lectured on investing in commercial real estate at the Inland Empire Investors Forum, the largest investment club in the Inland Empire. With additional presentations and training events at The Inland Gateway Association of Realtors (TIGAR), Title and Escrow companies, Ed has trained hundreds of real estate professionals including investors, agents, and brokers. Liquidating over 150 Lender owned assets for his banking clients has provided Ed with valuable experience in the default services industry. Ed also serves as the Ombudsman for both his local Association and the California Association of Realtors, where he is also a state delegate serving on the Legislative, Public Policy and Realtor Risk Management Committees.
Ed graduated Cum Laude, and in the top 10% of his class from Western State University, College of Law in 1992. After passing the Bar exam, he continued his employment at the Law Offices of Michael A. Hearn in Orange. The firm litigated cases on behalf of associations, buyers, sellers, commercial property owners, contractors and developers. Ed enjoys spending time with his family, his horse and he is a JV Girls Basketball Coach for Christian Heritage High School.
