Sam Main, Sales and Leasing Associate, as well as Real Estate Development Coordinator joined Phoenix West Commercial, LLC in January 2014.
Sam has practiced for over 17 years in the real estate construction and development business. He also founded a handicap transport business in 2008, built the business to over $ 1 million in gross annual income, and then successfully sold it in 2011.
Before moving to the Valley of the Sun in 2007 Sam spent 12 years working for various groups of entities owned by Kevin Spencer and Jerry Freund in Bend, Oregon (KSM, Empire Construction and Development, Spencer/Freund Investment Group to name a few ) is where Sam originally became a journeyman mason. Sam started at the absolute lowest position available in the company and rose to the highest position available, reporting directly to the owners. During that time he worked on all types of projects from single family residential to master planned residential including very high end luxury homes, all phases of single commercial buildings to entire business parks. Sam started with raw land creating and developing all the way through lease up stabilization. While the bulk of the projects were in central Oregon many projects were elsewhere in Oregon, Idaho, Washington and Montana. From Rock quarries to destination resort overlays it was an exciting time to be in construction and development where lessons were learned hard and fast.
In 2006 and 2007 Sam was recalled through the Navy Reserves to deploy to central and western Iraq were he was tasked as a Gun Truck Operator and Electronic Countermeasures Petty Officer in Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Sam earned various awards we are all proud of including the Navy and Marine Core Achievement Medal.
Sam is a loving husband and a proud father of 2 wonderful children. He is very active in youth sports and has coached youth football off and on for years. Although Sam no longer has his private pilot’s license, but enjoys flying, hunting of all types of fishing.
