Brook Steed joined Bradley Company in 2019 as a Broker, Economic Development Specialist. He brings an extensive background in economic development, planning, and workforce development to the team.
Prior to joining Bradley Company, Brook launched his career as a news director for several Indiana radio stations, and then spent nearly 20 years in public service before transitioning to the private sector. He managed city planning and economic development initiatives for the City of Angola, served an 11 county region as a business consultant for WorkOne Northeast Indiana, and was the director of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation's Northeast region, specializing in the state’s national security and defense related assets. Steed most recently worked for Wabash Valley Power Association as a senior economic development representative.
Steed also is a Gallup® Certified CliftonStrengths Coach & Gallup Trained BP10™ coach, drawing on his experience leading teams to offer one-on-one business and professional coaching. He is a graduate of Vincennes University, and The University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. He earned his Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) certification through the National Development Council.
Since 2010, Steed has been a SEED (previously the Fort Wayne Urban Enterprise Association) board member, and currently serves as its vice president. He is a former member of the Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership Board of Directors, the Regional Opportunities Council, and the Regional Chamber of Northeast Indiana policy committee. In 2020, Steed will return for his fourth year as a Parkview Foundation Cookin’ Men chef.
