James Milner, CCIM is the President & Owner of Appalachian Commercial Real Estate, LLC. He has been actively involved in Commercial Real Estate in the High Country area since 2008. His firm provides commercial real estate brokerage, leasing, consulting, and appraisal services throughout western North Carolina. He has worked with a wide spectrum of clients, from local investors to national franchises. James currently serves on the Board of Directors for North Carolina CCIM Chapter. He was the 2022 NC-CCIM Chapter President and has served as Chair of both the Designation Committee and Professional Standards Committee for the CCIM Institute.

From 2007 to 2017 he served on the Town of Boone Board of Adjustment. He has previously served on number of local and national boards. His interests include all matters #CRE tech and social media. James is a member at Boone United Methodist Church, and is married to Catharine Milner. Together, they have two boys, Peter and Ian.
