Scott began developing real estate in the late 1990s with a hands on approach, handling every aspect of the process—from site acquisition to permitting to construction and sales. In 2007, Scott and Space Source CEO Dan Dykgraaf pooled together their talents and began teaming up on development projects. Many successful projects later, the partnership is still thriving and expanding. In the past few years, Scott has created the Secure Storage brand in West Michigan. In 2017 he built the property in Byron Center, MI, and in 2018 the partnership acquired and rebranded an existing storage property in Hudsonville, MI. Along with the self storage projects, Scott has developed 300+ single family and condominium lots/units in the West Michigan area. Currently, Scott is devoting most of his time to finding sites throughout the country for the fast-growing Tommy Car Wash franchise.
